Zomato parent facing ₹40-cr GST demand

Zomato's parent company, Eternal, faces ₹40.32 crore in service tax demands and penalties related to GST for the period between July 2017 and March 2020, citing short payment of output tax and excess input tax credit. Eternal plans to appeal the order, confident in its legal position and anticipating no financial impact.
