US tariff rate to hit 15% or more for some nations, US trade rep says

The U.S. plans to increase tariffs to 15% or higher for some countries, while maintaining current levels for China ahead of President Trump's visit. These new duties, replacing tariffs struck down by the Supreme Court, are compatible with existing trade deals and will target unfair practices like excess industrial capacity and forced labor.
